Astros to pitch four-run second inning in 2-2 game

The Houston Astros and Texas Rangers will play in their final game of the season Saturday night, with both teams having won four of their last five.

Houston Astros starting pitcher Matt Garza will pitch a one-run scoreless inning to complete the Astros’ three-game sweep of the Texas Rangers.

Houston starting pitcher Trevor Bauer will pitch the Astros final three-hit game of their season, giving up two runs and one walk in 2 2/3 innings.

Houston will finish with five victories, six losses and one tie.

Houston won four straight to close out the season, but the Rangers won five straight games to finish the season with a five-game winning streak.

The Astros are now 10-5 and tied for the second wild-card spot in the AL West.

Rangers right-hander Michael Young will face a tough test in his first start in nearly a month.

Young went 0-for-3 with a walk in his start on Tuesday, his first day back since suffering a strained right hamstring.

Young threw six scoreless innings Tuesday and will likely be limited by the strain in his next start Friday against the Texas Twins.

The Rangers are currently 12-9 in his two starts.
