‘No regrets’: KFOR anchor regrets being ‘stuck’ in New York

KFOR Anchor Michael Kofner says he “never regretted” the fact that he had to “stick” in New Orleans for “five months” after Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005.

In a statement to ABC News, KOFNER says that his experiences were the result of a “misguided approach” to rebuilding New Orleans after Hurricane Rita in 2005, which he says “took away the city’s capacity to rebuild.”

He adds that while he was “disappointed” with his experience, he is “confident” he will return to New Orleans in 2019.KOFNER, who was not available for comment, was one of several anchors on a panel discussing the impact Katrina’s storm surge and flooding had on the city.KFOR has been a fixture at the Fox Business Network’s “The Road” and MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
